UPDATE: Our 2017 Annual Adopt-a-Family Gift Drive will open on November 1st! Thank you for everyone who supported during last year’s program. With your help, we were able to provide holiday gifts to 287 families in need.

For many of the families we work with, the holidays can be an especially trying time. Years ago, Brighter Beginnings developed its Adopt-a-Family program to help make the holidays a less stressful and more joyous time for families in need by connecting them to the generosity of our donors.

How It Works

Through our “adoption” process, low-income families are matched with a donor who purchases seasonal gifts and drops them off at one of our centers in Alameda or Contra Costa County. Last year, 350 families and nearly 1,000 family members had their wish lists fulfilled. Donors contributed time and funds to gathering holiday gifts, while others came to our volunteer wrapping events to add sparkle and holiday magic to the gift bundles before our Staff delivered them to East Bay families in need.

Drop Off Locations

Donors can drop off their gifts at the following locations on Dec. 6th (Wed.) between 10am and 7pm and Dec. 9th from 10am to 5pm.
