Brighter Beginnings’ Family Health Clinics provide affordable family healthcare to individuals and families who need it most. We operate three Family Health Clinics in Contra Costa County (Antioch Lone Tree, Antioch Downtown & Richmond). Our Medical Clinics provide full-scope primary care including general medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, family planning, preventive care, chronic disease management, health screenings, and mental health services. Brighter Beginnings Family Health Clinics are sanctuary facilities and will treat patients regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.
We offer both telemedicine and on-site visits. We are also providing appointments for COVID testing and COVID-19 vaccine.
Our team of qualified medical providers includes doctors, nurse practitioners, behavioral health counselors and nurses. They are supported by medical assistants, care coordinators, language interpreters, and volunteers who are committed to providing compassionate medical care. Patients also have onsite access to complementary social services such as Financial Coaching, referrals for food, transportation and housing assistance and access to support basic needs such as free diapers and formula, among other supports.
We are also a Certified Enrollment Entity and can help you enroll in Covered California & Medi-Cal, Medicare and Contra Costa CARES which supports families who do not qualify for insurance.
Brighter Beginnings Family Health Clinics are affordable and we provide a sliding fee discount program for patients with low incomes who do not have insurance.

Insurance/ Fees: We accept Medi-Cal, Family PACT, PE4PW, Contra Costa Health Plan, Medicare & Blue Shield. For those without insurance, we can help you get enrolled in Covered CA and we have a Sliding Fee Discount Program that is based on income for those without insurance.

What We Treat
The Brighter Beginnings Family Health Clinics provide primary care for pediatric, teen, and adult patients.
The clinics offer medical services and referrals for acute and chronic medical conditions such as:
- Acute & chronic care management & prevention
- Diabetes, asthma, hypertension
- Cough, cold, flu and/or sore throat
- Minor laceration repair wound care
- Allergies or sinusitis
- Ear infections
- Sprains and muscle strains
- Urinary tract infections
- Headaches/backaches
- Rashes, poison oak, minor skin infections, and burns
- Stomach aches
- Childhood immunizations & physicals
- Women’s Health
